Splott Farm Camping & Caravans

We want all of our guests, visitors and their party to enjoy their time safely at Splott Farm Camping. Please read and understand our ground rules below. By confirming your booking you agree to abide by these terms:

Safety & Security

Please respect and understand that there are inherent risks in any outdoors and natural countryside environment, such as wildlife, undulating ground and watercourses for which reason we ask you to exercise reasonable caution when on site. It’s recommended that you carry your own torch or light for safety when on foot at night and familiarise yourself with the site layout and area prior, whilst always supervising children or vulnerable adults in your party.

Barbecues and any camp fires are at our approval only, and in any case if allowable must be raised from the ground to prevent grass damage and reduce fire risk.

The Farm, it’s buildings, main carriageway and tracks are out-of-bounds to Campers, visitors and customers of Splott Farm Camping. Please respect this is for your safety and we request this is observed strictly.

We ask that dogs and other animals/pets must be kept under control at all times. You are also responsible for picking up after them.

Whilst at Splott, whether in storage or pitched, all property, caravans and possessions are at the owners risk. Full insurance of your equipment (minimum of TPFT) is imperative and fully recommended by the management.

We accept no liability for the action(s) and behaviour of other guests, customers or visitors to the site. We accept no responsibility for damage or loss to goods, injury or death to persons, to the extent that such liability can be lawfully excluded. All possessions including Tents, caravans, vehicles, together with their contents are left at your own risk. Whilst we take reasonable precautions, we cannot be held responsible for any loss of or damage from or to any vehicle or its contents whatsoever.

We reserve the right to refuse any individual(s) pets or group(s) access to the site, pitch or our accommodation should we deem interference or inconvenience to our other guests, customers and visitors. We respectfully ask you to be kind and courteous to your fellow campers and other guests in creating the least noise possible after 10PM. Similarly should our friendly request or reminder not be adhered to, please respect that we may ask you to leave the site in accordance with our values of mutual peace and enjoyment for all campers.

The use of drugs and/or excessive alcohol consumption on site is prohibited, any resulting anti-social or other unacceptable behaviour will not be tolerated and we reserve the right to share yours (or any of your parties) details with the relevant authorities where required.

As a reminder, it’s an offence to drive any vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs, on or off the public highway or on private land. In the interests of safety for all our guests and visitors, you must understand this behaviour will not be tolerated and as such the relevant authorities including the Police will be contacted immediately without hesitation.

Tent & Touring Booking & Payment Terms

Though we will endeavour to support you where possible with alternative dates if you have to cancel, please respect that we are a small site and as such with limited capacity to fulfil, we are not bound to offer refunds if you cannot complete your stay. Sadly this includes any eventuality whereby we have asked you to leave on reasonable grounds within this agreement.

If we are unable to honour the booked pitch through circumstances beyond our control we will endeavour to offer either an alternative locally or alternative dates.

In line with compliance of all applicable UK regulations, and except by advance notice and approval, your booking should not exceed the capacity and number of people stated at the time. Please keep us in the loop on your plans to avoid disappointment.

We reserve the right to refuse admission without refund where we believe conduct or behaviour will fall detrimental to the enjoyment and/or safety of other guests.

Certain facilities advertised may be changed, updated or taken away if circumstances outside our control arise.

Deposits are non-refundable once any booking has been accepted.

Pitch fees will not be refunded due to weather conditions or early departures.

Other Housekeeping

Recycling is critical at Splott Farm. Together we must reduce landfill and therefore it’s not an option to not recycle your waste whilst staying here. Please do so using the well-labeled recycling garage and ask for help if there are items you’re unsure of where to dispose.

Please do not flush any wipes (including wet wipes, baby wipes, household wipes or even flushable wipes) nappies, sanitary items or other foreign objects through our waste drainage system.

Portable chemical toilets must be emptied in the designated Chemical toilet disposal area.

Please note that our Toilet/Shower facilities are unisex.

Smoking in communal spaces is prohibited.

In the unlikely event of any complaint, please speak to reception immediately. Complaints not brought to our attention during your stay cannot be addressed once you have left the site.
